Pakistan is Working on it's own 5th generation Fighter Aircraft
PAKISTAN’S OWN 5TH GENERATION FIGHTER AIRCRAFT
Pakistan is working to make its own 5th generation stealth technology fighter aircraft in Pakistan Aeronautical Complex Kamra under Project Azm.
This project is started in July 2017 and the expected first flight of this aircraft is 2030. The conceptual design of this aircraft has finished.
The PAF showcased the conceptual design of its future 5th generation stealth aircraft on the tail of PAF C-130 at Royal International Air Tatoo (RIAT) 2019 held in Gloucestershire.
This aircraft will possess stealth technology, twin engine, single seater capable to carry super cruise and laser weapons.
In a interview of Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan said,
“ I do not think the maiden flight of 5th generation aircraft requires another decade”.
The project Azm is not only about Fifth Generation Aircraft but a lot of more products are making under this project. One of them is MALE UAV. According to the Minister of Defence Production’s 2017-18 book,
“ The schedule deadline for the first flight of MALE UAV (medium altitude long-endurance unmanned vehicle) was june 2019 ”.
